Chapter update

Hello all,

Just wanted to give everyone an update on the chapter.

Unfortunately, due to a death in the family and consistent home renovations, I haven't even started this chapter yet. I do, however, have the outline complete and simply need to put the points together.

Thanks everyone for standing by the story

  1. I'm very sorry about the death in your family, please accept my condolences. And home renovations--the dust must be overwhelming at times! But I"m very glad you are still working on this much-loved story and are continuing it. Thanks so much.

  2. basically flouncing, sorry. I truly enjoy this story...and when it was first posted a lot of that had to do with the consistent update schedule. I understand life happens, obviously....but this has been a consistent pattern now of lack of updating and not following through with update promises for the majority of the story, and I'm kinda over it. it's like every excuse has been used "I was moving" "my computer crashed" "I had a death in the family". and while all very stressful and if true, sad...it has been going on too long for me as a reader to buy this anymore. if it was 2 months of lack of updates then back on track, sure. life happens as I have said, and you get it sorted and continue. but its months here and then weeks after a supposed update was supposed to be posted there, then a new excuse...I can't keep coming to check in on this story's progress anymore and it has been WAY TOO LONG between updates for some time to remain invested in it or the characters. there is no momentum. I'm sorry, as a reader I need to be honest.

  3. Hi! I just wanted to let you know I love your story.

Please ignore the comment from Anonymous. It is unbelievable that someone could be so hurtful to a person who is sharing talent with others. Clearly Anonymous has appreciated your story, but the berating and disregard in her(?) comment is ridiculous and unjustified.

Please write whenever your time allows, because you enjoy it and want to share your story, and not because you feel obligated to do so.

And for the record, it is untrue that a reader can not stay invested in a story with long periods of time between updates. That is the fault of the reader, not the writer. I have been invested in a story from another fandom for nearly 10 years. Every couple of years, when I have nearly given up, the author will reappear with a new chapter and give me hope that one day her phenomenal story will be finished.

  5. Just a thought, since you have so many fans of this story,...have you considered writing much smaller chapters, just to get the story moving along? Branson101 does this with one of her stories, Living Life, she's up to 44 now, and she updates almost twice a week with very short chapters, but they move the story along nicely. While I greatly appreciate the very long chapters you have given us, this might be a solution, even if the shorter chapters are weekly or bi-weekly.

  7. First of all Merry Christmas! I was also wondering if you ever post something again. It's been 3 months now and from my own experience as a writer I know that if you don't post regularly people will stop reading the story no matter if they are big fans or not. Another is that if a post follows after a loooonnnggg break of writing, people will have difficulties with remembering the story so far. So please update!!!!
